About Dr. Wassarman:

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY 18908) who provides individual outpatient psychotherapy to adults. I have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited Pacific Graduate School of Psychology at Palo Alto University in Palo Alto, California.

My graduate training and subsequent work experiences have been in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) with an additional emphasis on health psychology.  While my main focus currently is my private practice (with a specialty in exposure therapy with OCD/anxiety), I also greatly enjoy  teaching and supervising other clinicians in how to apply cognitive behavioral therapy.

Twenty years of private practice in San Francisco, as well as additional experience in the following settings:
  • Adjunct Clinical Faculty, University of San Francisco Department of Counseling
  • Adjunct Clinical Faculty, UCSF Department of Psychiatry
  • Adjunct Clinical Faculty, JFK University
  • Staff Psychologist, San Francisco Bay Area Center for Cognitive Therapy
  • Pre- and Post-Doctoral Intern, UCSF Psychosocial Medicine Clinic at Maxine Hall Health Center and SF General Hospital
  • Clinical Research Assistant, UCSF Dept. of Neurology, Multiple Sclerosis Center
